At a Hong Kong shopping center, Jackie Chan's intuition warns him. He saves a robbery's loot and gets on TV, ends up in Istanbul via South Korea and accidentally becomes a spy. Fortunately, he knows Kong Fu. Internationally-acclaimed star Jackie Chan is Bei, a less-than-successful exercise equipment salesman who yearns for excitement in his life. One day, Bei follows his instincts and trails two-suspicious-looking men into action and foils their plans. The resulting publicity from Bei's heroism brings him to the attention of a private investigator who informs him that he is actually the long-lost son of a wealthy businessman. Hoping to reunite with his true family, Bei travels to Korea where his father lies dying. Bei finds, to his astonishment, that both his parents lived the life he has longed for himself: they were both professional spies. Drawn into a dangerous game of cat and mouse where no one can be trusted, Bei travels to Turkey, where soon it's up to him to track down a new, highly addictive narcotic before it ends up in the hands of evil drug lords. I just saw it last night, and after reading about the "serious tone" of the film I was surprised to see what looked like the usual "happy-go-lucky" sort of stuff we'd expect….silly robbers, some mugging, Jackie running naked through the streets of Turkey. But about halfway through things took a turn toward darkness. I liked this…not everything needs to be sugar-coated, and we get to see Jackie act, with some good supporting players. There's a pretty vicious plot twist or two, which I felt made things even more interesting, and though I'd read about the film, it still kept my attention. On the obvious side there's some really awesome stuntwork, some of the coolest things I've seen done, and the fighting, though short is as usual fun to watch. My only complaint is that I felt things wrapped up waaaay to quickly with the major villains, and though the ending was neat, I was sort of distracted by this. All in all though, good story, good acting, and the seriousness was much appreciated…8/10 In this masterpiece Jackie Chan plays Buck Yuen, a 42 year-old orphan who gets the chance to find his real parents and starts an adventitious journey that brings him from Hong Kong to Korea and finally to Turkey where he is chased by different groups of people without knowing that he now has something that they want… I can't tell more about the plot here or I would spoil too much of the storyline. This JC movie is different from his past movies: there is an interesting and complex story to tell, the movie is darker (and not based on comedy only) and Jackie Chan shows us that he's a great actor! Maybe some of this fans might be disappointed that there are only a few short fighting scenes but I think the story and his acting let's forget this shortage easily. I watched the HK-version, I hope the US distributors won't do any cuts to this movie because that might destroy the storyline and make it inconsequent(like they did with JC's "First Strike" some years ago).

All in all it's a great "thriller" that shows action star Jackie Chan as an ACTOR instead of only an action-hero. A must see!
